Pauline Swain – Moonwalk London Queen

Please read the following letter from Pauline Swain about her brilliant participation in Moonwalk London:

Well I think you should all know by now that we did it and we are so proud and glad that we took part in such a fantastic event.

The London eye was lit up pink, and there was lots of support from people out and about (usually outside pubs).

There were approx 30,000 people walking Moonwalk London, so the atmosphere was great.

In the weeks leading up to the walk my lovely Dad passed away and then I wasn’t very well, so training didn’t go to plan. As a result it got pretty painful on the night and the last 2-3 miles “hurt”, but we crossed the finish line and got our medals.

In all I managed to raise £1015.23
And as a team we got £1491.30

I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who sponsored me and Moya. We couldn’t have done it without your support and generosity. You absolutely gave us the motivation dig deep, walk through the pain and the cold weather and complete it.

I could hardly walk for about 24 hours after. And stairs – well, they were a no go area!

A big thank you once again. You are all the best

Pauline
